JAMES APOLLO

The desert is a lonely place.

So after spending the last 2 years touring in support of the lonesome desert sounds of his 2005 release, Good Grief, James Apollo cajoled a handsomely rugged outfit of seasoned friends into joining him in backwoods studios around the US to record songs with a few more...people.

"We'd cram into these little rooms, sometimes ten of us, there'd be drunks, roustabouts, bandmades, you know, professionals at this sort of thing. Chaos. A real sweet beauty of a chaos. One guy played a marching drum laying on the floor, while his friend poured whiskey into him.

Born at the foot of the Ozarks in Libertyville, Arkansas and raised in the American Middle West, James Apollo first hit the road at the tender age of 16. Crisscrossing the continent, James and his young bandmates soon learned to live within the deep underbelly of rocknroll; gaining valuable lessons while sleeping in abandoned drain pipes in the Mojave, or spending new years day in a New Orleans jail for "jus t trying to help".

He's not hard to find these days. With a constantly growing fan base, and a savage tour schedule, James Apollo has been running back and forth between the US and Europe for the past few years, updating hobo ways for the jetset. James Apollo currently hides his heart in New York City.
